(valid on all fabrics in the new drop)
Hi, and welcome to my corner of the sewing internet. I’m Elise—photo stylist by day, sewing pattern designer by passion—and today I’m introducing something that’s been in the works behind the scenes for a while: curated deadstock fabric drops, designed for home sewists who care what they wear.
This launch marks the beginning of a new era for my sewing pattern business. I’m growing it with intention—rooted in slow fashion, designed for real-life wardrobes, and now offering access to designer-quality natural fiber fabrics you won’t find at the big box stores.
Why Fabric? Why Now?
Back in April I was on a work trip in LA doing product styling for a couple of my fashion clients, which is how I’ve supported myself as a freelancer for years. But things are shifting.
New tariffs are creating major uncertainty in the fashion industry’s supply chain. My clients rely on overseas materials and production—meaning delays, cost hikes, and unpredictability that directly affect my bookings. As someone with a toddler and a household to contribute support, that instability has lit a fire under me to invest more seriously in the business that aligns with my values: designing sewing patterns and offering fabrics that support a slower, better way to dress.
Introducing: Studio Snacks 🥑🍒🫐🌱🌼
This drop is a bite-sized edit of fabrics I hand-picked to spark creativity and help you build a conscious, color-forward wardrobe. You’ll find juicy tones like:
Avocado Green
Cherry Red
Cornflower Blue
Mint Green
Goldenrod Yellow
These aren’t just any fabrics—they’re deadstock, natural fiber, and sourced from the same LA fabric suppliers that major fashion brands use. That means high-quality cloth you normally couldn’t get your hands on unless you live or work in the industry.
I chose these fabrics because they reflect the way I like to dress and design—clean silhouettes, expressive color, pieces you’ll wear again and again. I wanted this first drop to feel fun and flavorful—small but satisfying, like a good snack.

Why Deadstock?
This is my commitment: if I’m going to sell fabric, it has to align with my values.
That means no new fabric production for my shop—only deadstock. It’s the most sustainable option I can offer. It uses what already exists instead of contributing to the massive waste generated by the fashion industry. Polyester? Not here. I’m focused on natural fibers that break down over time instead of living in landfills forever.
Most sewists in the U.S. don’t have access to these kinds of deadstock fabrics unless they’re in LA or NYC, so I’m opening that door. If you’ve ever wished you could find better fabric—this is for you.
